12 year old Momin from Nigeria was born blind. Congenitally he was suffering from bilateral cataract. His parents took him to different eye hospitals, but, in vain.
They became hopeless and enrolled Momin to religious school for memorization of The Holy Qur’an.
when a neighbour informed his father about the
" POB Trust Free Eye Camp in collaboration with FIMA Save Vision",
He rejected the idea altogether by saying
"it doesn’t work, it’s wastage of time "
On contrary, the neighbour was hopeful and determinate.
He brought the boy to us. On first day, the first eye was operated and on 4th day the other eye was operated. After only two surgery sessions, the world began to “pop out.” When the bandages came off he first saw his neighbour standing close to me.
He was so happy that he wanted to return to his home as soon as possible to see all of his family members.
His father said,
“I was skeptical at first, but now I am a whole hearted believer in Vision Therapy”
